Established in 1959, the Alamo Housing Authority provides affordable housing opportunities to serve residents of the City of Alamo in Georgia. Alamo Housing Authority is governed by a six-member Board of Commissioners and provides housing for low-income individuals, families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. Alamo Housing Authority administers 38 Public Housing units in the community. The housing programs at Alamo Housing Authority are income-based, and the eligibility guidelines are set by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Alamo Housing Authority does not participate in the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV), previously known as the Section 8 Program, and we are not equipped to accommodate Emergency Housing.

Alamo Housing Authority also provides programs like the Summer Youth Program through partnerships with other organizations in the community.
